Having recovered from two bouts of major depressive disorder, Al has a passion for supporting others with mental illnesses, particularly men with depression. In addition to blogging, he speaks publicly on his own and for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). He is also the host of the podcast, The Depression Files.
